Frances's Story
After graduating in 1965, attended Concord College for 1 year. Best year of my life so far, made some awesome friends and memories but the following summer, met my future husband of almost 50 years and married in 1967.. He served in the army for 3 years, where we lived in Huntsville, Alabama, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Fairbanks, Alaska. We finally settled in Cross Lanes, WV for 31 years but 4 months shy of 50 years, I lost him to cancer in 2016. The home I loved for those years, suddenly I just...Expand for more
wanted out of so it was sold. Since then, I call myself a tumbleweed, never bought another house but lived between our daughter's house, our grand-daughter's house and or with my brother and his family in Ft Lauderdale, sunny Florida. Mostly winter months. I'm now 75 and father time is taking over although I still fight him all the way, but he is winning! I thank my God above for every day I get. If you still have your spouse, hug often and cherish every day you have with them!!!!
